據外媒報道，澳大利亞金屬礦業企業kuniko 在7月3日表示，該公司已經與汽車制造商stellantis簽署了一份承購和股權投資協議。
stellantis已經同意向這家電池金屬礦商投資500萬歐元(合545萬美元)，以換取kuniko近20%的股份。kuniko在一份聲明中表示，stellantis還將獲得kuniko挪威勘探項目未來硫酸鎳和硫酸鈷產量的35%，為期9年。
stellantis公司首席采購和供應鏈官maxime picat表示：“我們正在積極爭取獲得一個全面的原材料組合，以實現我們的dare forward 2030電氣化目標。與kuniko的合作讓我們增加了一個杠桿，通過其挪威本土環保項目來為我們的歐洲電池需求提供支持。”

作為dare forward 2030戰略計劃的一部分，stellantis此前宣布計劃到2030年在歐洲實現100%的純電動乘用車產品組合，在美國實現50%的純電動乘用車和輕型卡車產品組合。
stellantis已經與多家企業達成了合作，為其電氣化戰略提供穩定的關鍵材料供應。除kuniko外，stellantis還與alliance nickel、mcewen copper、terrafame、vulcan energy、element 25和controlled thermal resources簽訂了合作協議。
kuniko首席執行官antony beckmand表示：“我們與stellantis達成的戰略伙伴關系促進了歐洲可持續電池價值鏈解決方案，并驗證了我們在挪威的電池金屬項目組合的潛力。我們期待與stellantis攜手合作，在勘探方面取得成功，并走向生產，為歐洲電池行業的增長和進步做出有意義的貢獻。”
